Find Your Reputable Online Car Auctions

How do you find a reputable online car auctions? Mind boggling if you have not done it before but I thought I will touch on this subject today. Since I have been in automotive business for almost 30 years, I will try to give you some of my few experience. Hopefully, this will save you time and money because a good reputable online car auctions are hard to find.
Lots of what they called popular online auction sites are pretty common nowadays. These sites usually claimed that if you subscribe to them, they can give you the exact inside information like where to buy auctioned and seized vehicles at unbelievable prices. Of course it is impressive but are you sure these claims are true? Or is it a scam intended to rip you off?
Testing Your Reputable Online Car Auctions:
Looking at the fine print, the claim is legally true if you follow their claim word for word: If you want to find any used vehicle and buy it cheap from these auction sites…it is surely believable. Of course there is catch: provided you don’t care at what mechanical conditions the vehicles were used. And since you don’t know this, this becomes a major risk for you if you don’t analyze the transaction properly!
Example, it is common from these places to recommend vehicles that might not even make it to your driveway unless done by a tow truck. Is it their fault? Yes or No. Yes because their job is not to make the vehicle so good that it has no hidden defects (that is your job to verify) and No because once the vehicle is out of the lot from these recommended sites, you are basically on your own.
This problem is actually a legal mambo jambo because of the complexity of the situation. Used vehicles are bought by auctioneers are resold to customers with the least expense to make higher profit margins. As a matter of fact, auction companies usually buy their vehicles in huge numbers and as soon as they get them, their job is to ONLY make the vehicle presentable to the customers so it looks appealing to their senses. Whether the vehicle is good mechanically or not is a matter of opinion. Of course there are good online sites too!
Checklists for your Reputable Online Car Auctions:
The trick here is before your online auction subscription, you have to check the locations where auction prices are affordable. So if the price posted in these auction online sites are artificially low, it should be a red flag and here are the things you have to consider:
1.) what is the average price for this vehicle? Lowest price? Highest price?
2.) What is the most expensive repair/s that this vehicle can have?
You have to figure these out because once you are able to secure this information, the rest is gravvy. Whether it means verifying this information online or get a professional mechanic to help you, this is one way you can protect yourself from getting a bad deal. Once you are able to calculate these factors, then you can decide if the cost of the online subscription is good or not.
Things to look for a Reputable Online Car Auctions:
When looking for a good online auction sites, they should offer the following:
1.) A complete list of places where the best auctions are located near you or the rest of the country. It should include the times and schedules for the auctions so you can decide if it is accessible to you.

3.) Proof that most of the auction transactions really took place since a lot of these online auction sites can fabricate these information to attract subscribers.
If the the price claims stated in the site seems questionable, be prepared to test them when you see the actual auction locations. Example: is the site crowded with people? If yes this indicates that the auction site is popular because lots of people benefits from that site. Are the vehicles organized and the locations have licensed mechanics posted in the auction office? These show that the actual auction locations really care for the product they sell.
