Ace Edge Flight for Xbox360 Game

This November-December 2011 might be a good time to inform you about Ace Edge Flight for Xbox360 game on my CB blog. I came across this cool toy which really suck my brains. I am not really sure if you will like it or not but have a look (might be a perfect toy for hanging out during this holiday festive season).
Edge Flight for Xbox360 Game Button Configuration
Nothing in common with MS Common Controller, the flight stick’s button design is geared towards the Ace Combat 6 game, which you can play with some Xbox360 games as a normal (and funny) controller. It should be noted that Ace Combat 6′s handbook doesn’t trouble hiding controls for the HORI flight stick. Just about all of the button diagrams on the flight stick’s looks may be taken with a grain of salt for Ace Combat 6. Although distinctly tagged, Ace Combat 6 uses a different mounting when the flight stick is active (like the common controller, which is all that is required for this game).
Notes on this Ace Edge Flight for Xbox360 Game:
The two gray knobs on the throttle are volume control for the mike or something… Since simulacrum does not like anyone online, any tests on XBL are meaningless before simulacrums coolness.
The levers and bumpers are magnified in the throttle stick’s side; this rocker lever is the most puzzling in terms of key handicaps. As it turns out, it does not matter what you really have the Yaw settings on Ace 6 are set to. The game however, has the throttle control engine power and yaw is controlled by the throttle’s rocker lever.
The button on the throttle marked “LB” functions as the air brake and is used for pulling the high G turn. The RB trigger on the main stick works like the common controller’s RB + LB in auto pilot. All other key binds on the face plate’s diagram holds true (like the Ace Combat 6). Finally, this uncanny set of bindings makes the flight stick unfit for the early extraordinary flight sim game on the Xbox 360 like TAITO’s Over G Fighters.
Utilizing copies of Orange Box (which permits free button binds) and Halo 3 (which does not), the diagram on the faceplate proves to be real. Yet! Players should be informed that the rocker switch on the throttle has a twofold use LT function. When the rocker is pressed on the left side, it acts normally. However, when pressed on the right side, it appears to hold the LT down and does not let go. All the key designations are otherwise accurate (hence discouraging for Over G Fighters).
Control Notes on the Ace Edge Flight for Xbox360 Game:
Ace Combat 6 maneuvers pretty much like Rogue Squadron without the Puke Sky walker Syndrome (or Wedge Antilles making out with strange women). Since the game permits for Novice type controls (plane twists and curls with the steering stick), you can use the ordinary controller and easily beat most of the operations without hassle.
The flight stick seems to complicate things; while the actual and normal controls mean you must curl the plane and then rise (or plunge) to turn, which means you need to be skilled with flight stick type controls (like from MS Flight Simulator) for much of the time. Merely jumping into an arcade Afterburner type game with a uncalled-for knotty flight stick is only making the game more challenging than it needs to be. If you have 100 or so missiles loaded on a jet fighter, ask yourself why you are making things harder?
In the end, whether or not you use the flight stick to clear up Ace 6′s harder missions depends on you. While it looks cool, the button arrangements are not as known as something already organized well (the common controller in other Xbox 360 games) and the D-pad operation may be more of a
hassle than an aid in a rugged battle. Mind you, that extended play will “drop” your sticks in one direction. Also, you will notice that unless you make a more secure mounting for the flight stick, you will discover the unit once in a while pulling out from the control surface you are playing, and in a blink of an eye disrupt you during the most awkward times.
